iphone craze

today, june 29, 2007 is the grand launch of the new iphone!

people here are crazy about this $500-$600 phone plus the plan starting at $60/mo..no reservations so first come first serve and 2 purchase per person..haha

some started lining up 3 days before..mga baliw!! hahaha

my techie tita beng is planning to buy that famous iphone but she finds it expensive because of the plan that comes with it! haha goodbye na ang ipod niya na aarburin ko! hahaha 40G pa man din un! hahaha

tomorrow judgement day, am i in or out?! sa job hahaha

life

- for the first time we were able to go to a certain place without other people driving us around, just the 3 of us; ma,pa, and me. we took metro 70 and metro 92 to get to this lawyer, David Zuckerman..haha who's going to open a Philippine firm at Global City..his asst. lawyer is a Filipina and our neighbor, just found out during the conversation.

-then on saturday, i'll meet the boss of this 110 scrub store..i don't know if they're going to drop me there or i would have to commute on my own..haha adventure! haha the owner of that store is looking for a filipino worker, doing data entry work. the polish owner recently fired someone (not pinoy) because that person was stealing stuffs and i think even money..so the owner wanted a filipino worker this time..(infairness! in demand ang loyalty nang pinoy! haha) so the job was offered to me..i think just a final interview and i'm in! good pay per hour but quite far..

i'm blessed to have this opportunity but at the same time my head's in a jam..confused..confused..confused..

here we go again

they keep asking me what do i really want regarding my schooling, i've answered them straight forward and really eager to graduate. (after seeing people i know with their toga, diploma, and picture in the middle of their parents! haha)

then they'd ask me again kept on insisting about this jobcorp. here in LA or San Diego, yes this would be a great experience for me to be independent especially when i enter San Diego Jobcorp, i would be in a dorm. people around me continuously asking other people's opinion about my "school dillema" while i'm here telling them what i want and yet its as if they don't hear anything (they would only listen for a few minutes then back to what they think then after few days ask me again what i want!!!)


all my relatives here has done the same thing like what i was planning for my life, they finished their studies in PH then back here to work and have a stable life but why can't they connect these facts! they want the "BEST" for me but other people doesn't really know what's best for you, i myself doesn't know what's best for me but i know what will make me happy and feel proud about myself.


but above all this, i know what i want but i still have one more thing to consider and it's just between me and Him.

if crying could stop all this anxieties, then i'm willing.

shopping syndrome

i think i'm having this new dillema and that is shopping!

i'm not really like this back in PH..as much as possible i don't buy clothes and shoes although i really wanted them, unless i really have an EXTRA or it's a good buy and if i am DYING to have one! haha

but since i stepped on Uncle Sam's country..i've been shopping/buying stuffs almost all the time, whenever i'm out of the house and of course inside the stores..tsk tsk most of the time mama would buy it for me, but since i got my birthday cash gifts from my relatives, i decided to buy what i like on my own..haha

well i don't buy branded ones unless it's on SALE but i think they always have clothes and shoes on SALE! haha

like in Payless Shoes after finding this out 2 years ago, i'm their number one fan! haha their shoes are really "pay for less" and yet you get the same brand and style, i think it's almost the same as of a factory outlet type..

then 3 weeks ago we've been going to this shop just beside payless shoes..haha the Susie's Deal that i was talking about..so many varieties for a cheap price and some are branded and yet you can get them for a LOW LOW LOW price!..


so just few hours ago, i bought a slippers/flip..but i don't think the term flip flop is suited for that kind..but anyway, i bought that and 3 low cut stockings/socks (then i gave one to mama so she'd be happy because of an issue she just had with some people), then on the other store, 2 tops for a cheap price! haha i wanted to buy shades too, but i just got 1 bought by mama and 1 from ate nory, she doesn't like what she bought..haha thanks to you! hahaha

i need to control myself or else this would be a habit and i wouldn't want this kind of life! hahaha

well we all have our shotcomings but why always point it out to other people and not admit that they too are the senyoritos/sensyoritas!

i hate keeping grudges..so just blog it!

patience is a virtue!

why

people always criticize other people. they tend to judge and make conclusions about a specific person or scenario.

what bothers me is that these kinds of people tell you to be ready to change in any situation, tell you that you should adjust and be flexible..they always see what other people are doing but they never see themselves. they never look at the mirror and evaluate their own attitude. they never adapt to changes.

they always see themselves as highly, it's their pride that keeps them going. they wouldn't stoop down to that level and not open to adjustments. they'd complain to other people some things but they've actually never done it. complain. complain. complain.

they would always talk continuously about the job they've done and what they've accomplished and brag about it. but for me, it doesn't matter how high you've achieved if you don't know how to adapt to places and people. and if you don't know do what you keep on telling others.

first time to drive here in US and first time to drive a van! haha matic, so no worries for me..but the traffic "system" is confusing! so complicated! haha unlike in phils, either you go straight, left or right, then u turn in designated u-turn slot!

i haven't applied yet for Calif driver's license but based on their handbook any adult with a legal driver's license from their origin country can use it until it's still valid. my license will expire june2008 so i still got a whole year to drive around..haha i wish!

kuya asked me to come with him and asked me to bring my license, so i got the hint! my parents doesn't have an idea that i've driven the van! haha because kuya doesn't have any plan of letting papa drive until he gets the Calif driver's license, just to make sure..papa has an eye problem so..just to be safe..

anyway, turning left here is so confusing, you'd have to look at your left, front, right, signal light..well unless there's a designated left traffic light..

the speed, i'm not used to driving fast and stepping hard on the gas pedal but here if you're slow well they'd honk on you..

also it was my first time to drive a toyota car/van, i like their steering wheel so smooth! haha

my birthday!

i don't know if i'm lucky but i had a two day celebration! haha phil time and US time! haha for two days friends and relatives we're greeting me until now 1240am, june21 US time..hahaha last greeting from my tita in phil..hahaha

had lunch at this thai resto, The Thai BBQ..major busog again! and SARAAAPPP!!! then had dinner at Pho 89, vietnamese resto! hahaha

that's why i want to tour around ASIA first...i love ASIA! haha

so many changes..
- first, i celebrated my birthday here in US..

- second, instead of my usual dinner celebration it was a lunch celebration because were complete if it was on lunch..but i like celebrating these stuffs during dinner just to end my day complete..haha but it was still fun, eating all together! hehe

- third, instead of having my usual mass with my family or like last year, first time to be alone.haha i just had a rosary(supposed to be novena but we had to leave because of hanna) and bisita iglesia..lighted a candle then prayer..

- the "crowd" haha was different..less jokes, hirits, and asaran..well because i was with an older crowd..i mean OLD..haha and yes, i was pressured again regarding my studies and plans..o well!

- people were always mentioning casino and LAS VEGAS, here we come! haha now i'm really legal to get into casinos..haha though i got in when i was 18 years old..ahaha but i'm really not into gambling in that kind of form..pangkantong sugalan lang at pangburol! hahaha small bets and mostly card..not slot machines, i never win! haha no beginner's luck i guess! haha

swimming!

finally i got to swim and had a light tan! haha

i was about to take my shower then mama joined me inside the bathroom! haha then we had some chat and then i just said out loud that i wanted to swim, then she agreed! haha ever since my brother moved here in El Monte around 2 years ago..they never tried to swim in their pool..not our own pool..ahha i wish! pool for everyone in this townhome-condo..haha

now i think kakari-reen ko ang swimming! haha feel!!! i only know one stroke and near to doing the backstroke, c/o mama!

but everytime i would see the pool or even mention the name goggles, i get frustrated! haha I LEFT MY GOGGLES AT HOME! PINAS! ..my very first-i bought goggles is back home! sitting in my cabinet, sweating! haha

tomorrow, my day here! haha first time to celebrate with different side of the family, THE BUENAVENTURA side..haha hanna had her lunch party at this chinese,jap, korean cuisine resto..though i wanted jap cuisine since we had it last week, the next best thing is thai cuisine! yummeh!! i called for reservation for lunch party/get together although i know that 60% of my family is not into thai food! haha unfortunate for them but this time it's my day and i get to pick my food! hahaha

finished My Lovely Kim Samsoon, odd koreanovela. mostly the main characters would be skinny and there'd be at least 1 or 2 supporting characters that wouldn't be that good looking. but in this koreanovela, all the characters were good looking, i mean the 4 major characters..and for the first time after watching around 10 of these novelas, both guys got the looks! haha Dr. Henry Kim and Hyun Jin-heon..like their porma..always! haha men in koreanovelas are stylish! haha and unusual story, this time the girl is older than the guy, 30 and 27 respectively..hehe

anyhow! the story was great, for me it was unpredictable during the middle episodes of the series..but at one point i got pissed with the lead actor! haha *feel na feel! haha kse namamangka siya sa dalawang ilog!!!* hate it! but likes him whenever he's with the Sam-soon! haha

during the 16the episode i cried..a lot! i really don't know the reason but for sure it didn't happen to me...but it may sound cliche but i just felt her pain. period.

santee day

i don't know why they call it santee, this place is like divisoria/168 in phil version..but of course less snatch rate, bigger space, cooler place, and a bit better kind of clothes..

we were there by 6am..i've proven that i'm really not a morning person! hahaha my head was throbbing from lack of sleep..ahha *my fault* there were a lot of clothes and cute ones but they didn't call my attention..wasn't in the mood to even try to grab a top to see how it looks and to know the price..haha it was really TOO EARLY for me to shop! haha i need to warm up before i get active and set up for shopping..

everyone in the group was eager to find the right clothes, ate nory, mama, teray, roby..haha

it took me around an hour and a half to get started with my shopping mood! haha then i realized there were a lot of good buys in every store! haha but since it's spring/summer fashion the prints were too loud and big for me..i'm not into printed clothes, i'm more of a plain person..so i didn't go gaga over the clothes! they were all the same!!!! just different colors and styles but they all had prints! prints! prints! prints! prints! tsk..

the shoes/sandals were good buys too, but i had to run away from temptation..haha

i was shocked when i found out that they also have DBD's here! haha yep pirates are everywhere! haha mexicans were the owner of the stands..haha fake glasses, bags, clothes, shoes! they've got it! hahaha it really felt like home..haha..

we went shopping today at this cheap chinese store, Susie's Deals..she really has great deals! haha some have signature names on it, some are the so so brands but still good buy! a lot of cute stuff for toddlers and kids! haha i wish they had it for ladies sizes! haha

ate nory bought hanna a swimsuit! minnie mouse swim suit! hahah soooo cute! i'm excited for her, but of course she doesn't have a clue on what's happening in her world..haha just like what fifi said, i wish i was kid too..ahhaha hi fifi!!

ironic but in the phils. i don't go shopping like this..haha but here i get to shop! all paid for by mama..she has bread!!! haha i don't know where it is coming from but she has a lot of bread!! haha she pays for the things i like! haha back home, i pay for what i like except when i ask her..haha i offered to pay for this top i bought but she insisted on buying them for me! haha THANKS MAMA!!

we even had a pair of pants..for the first time i have a turquoise pants! haha it's a pair, 2 for $5.99..haha for me i would use it as a pajama, but she said i can use it outside! haha never tried wearing a bright colored pants..but we'll see if i can carry it..haha then we bought another pair but this time i told her that i can't wear any bright color again, so i picked the olive green and she picked a light pink! hahaha okay!!! hahaha

i even got a hanes jacked for a dollar! haha really great deals! haha i wanted to buy another shades but just bought a new one last week..haha patatagalin ko muna hanggang sa makalimutan nila na kakabili ko lang! hahahhaa...

then went to Payless shoes..my favorite shoe store! haha it's BOGO season sale so you get the second pair of shoes, 50% discount! haha thrifty as we are, we saw something on sale! haha flashing sale for our eyes! haha so i got this new wedge, gift for myself, i paid it..haha for the first time! haha and mama got an ae wedge on sale! haha she got half the price! haha ..hmm she haven't paid me yet! haha but it's ok! i wouldn't remind her anymore, unless she remembered! haha of course i would accept the money! hahahha

i'm loving the shopping moments when it's for free!! haha

update

1045am, was supposedly my interview with NTSX, warehouse related job. but it was too far from our place, it's 64.52 miles and would take an hour and 2 minutes to get there. (according to mapquest! hi fifi! haha)

so i had to cancel my interview with their manager and tell the truth! haha although i wanted to lie that there's an emergency..haha

anyway, every night i'm watching My Lovely Kim Sam Soon..piracy is the best policy! haha if i only knew that they wouldn't be checking my luggage that quick and thorough i would have bought a lot of korean/taiwan novelas that i'm planning to watch for the rest of my indefinite stay here..hahaha so i only brought the best among my booming collection! hahaha..MY GIRL!!! (hi cawax!) and my newly bought dbd before i left, the kim sam soon.

i'm liking the story of kim sam soon..sa chanel 7 kse before e, kaya wala akong care! hahaha

major busog AGAIN

another day well spent! haha nothing productive but well spent with my relatives,that i only see once or twice a year before..haha

i woke up 615 to snooze the alarm..haha then went back to sleep..then woke up again 630am! haha prepared, then the bathroom was never vacant! haha waited for 6 people..haha no one was online except for a mapuan friend..

went to kaiser permenente, ate nory and hanna has an appointment with their doctor, we waited for 1-2 hours, mama, papa, tita, and me were sleeping while seated at the waiting area..haha hanna had 4 shots on both legs! she left the their doctors clinic crying! and talking baby talks to everyone, as if she's trying to tell us what happened inside..*awwww...*

had lunch at yoshinoya, i barely ate because of what i ate yesterday! haha

hanna's "real" birthday celebration is today so uncle boy wanted to celebrate again just with the family this time..so we arrived at lola's house, they have watermelon, cherry, and strawberry!! haha i munched all the way! haha then i was so full again!! i was satisfied already, well i should be because i can't breathe anymore! hahaha i hate that feeling! hahaha

hanna had pancit! 2 kinds..haha then a cake! so happy and cute! haha

i have longer patience with her now and she listens to me..=)

my prayer regarding my job search..haha a certain company is waiting for my call to set an appoinment for an interview with their manager..the problem is, they only placed NTSX as the comapany's name..now i don't know what that means because i applied to 5 or more companies, so now i don't know which company is asking for my call! hahaha

bday celeb/beach

i might sound crazy after posting a "sad-complaining-emote entry" then writing something like this now..haha

well my day ended more than what i expected! haha

i woke up early to get ready for my sis-in-law's church, then waited..waited..i even got the chance to talk to kai, cawax, and ico while waiting for 5 people to get ready! haha

then went to this Christian Church, i love attending their service because of the songs and the pastor..haha i'm not planning to be converted or anything i just want another version of everything..hehe

anyway, we didn't wait for the service to end, went straight to Golden Coast, where our "princess hanna" is going to celebrate her FIRST BIRTHDAY! yey! for sure her guests liked/loved the food! variation of japanese, korean, chinese cuisine! haha well for me i did ENJOY!! haha woooo...calories and faaatss on the loose!!! hahahha there were only two kinds of food that i really enjoyed and never left my mouth/plate..

ate and kuya's guests were nice people, friendly ones! and i think i'm close to getting a job!..*fingers crossed* something related to banking stuffs and a lot of typing..well that's the only thing i know i can do well! hahaha some things in life are really unexpected! haha

then after the party went back home to rest, then the whole family with tita beng left after an hour for Rodondo Beach! haha improving! hahaha after 2-4 years of no beach, i finally had the chance to breathe beach air! haha and the sticky feeling of beach air! hahaha kuya and i played our forever boring version of football! hahaha last time we played that was 4 years ago at bora..hahaha so that's why he was so excited to bring me to the beach, since he doesn't have a playmate after he stayed here..haha

we arrived at the beach around 830pm, so it was really for fun and road trip event! haha and something new..hahaha

job search

for the past two days, i've been looking for a job online and applying online. some of which are radioshack, ralphs, gecko. as of now they're the only stores that didn't require a working experience or a degree, which i don't have both! haha

from my account in monster.com, i've got a lot of choices but the only factor that's been stopping me from applying is work experience..i don't have any work experience! well if i'd ask my brother he'd say that i'd have to make my own job experience! haha well i did it when i applied at subway, he was there when i was writing on the application form. i don't want to lie because i'm afraid they'd know the real deal..haha and security background is something very important in this country! hahaha

i'm pressured to get a job because my brother is pressuring me! haha also my lola! my gulay its just 3 weeks since i arrived and they're pushing me to get a job! haha i don't even know our phone number!

and honestly i don't know what job i really want, there's one job that i'd really love! haha a hotel receptionist! haha yes, i like working on hotels feels elegant and quiet! haha goodluck! but i'd prefer something in stores, saleslady (pinas term) or sales asscociate (US term) and away from the cash box! haha

i'm back to reality..haha
no i have nothing to do and nowhere to go! i'm missing school and my everyday commute, jeep, tryc, and train! haha

i know i can walk around here somewhere i just don't know where to go! and no malls around my brother's place..

and i'm afraid of bums! haha

compared to the filipino bums..haha sa pinas, our bums have zero brain cells working! haha they won't talk to you or even talk to you..but here they'd approach you and talk to you about nonsense and sometimes they pretend their not bums..haha we'll since i arrived here from day 3 up to now i had a lot of bum experiences! haha (lapitin sa mga bums! hahaha) scary!! even in san francisco, they'd look at me then make a peace sign, that happened twice..then another incident, here in el monte, a bum on a wheelchair was staring at me, not in my face! haha gets?! he was really close because i was waiting for papa and kuya outside cvs on the sidewalk! haha he passed by me twice and stared! scary!! hahaha

so now, i miss the filipino bums! haha panget! haha

now i'm back to nonstop surfing, friendster-ing, multiply-ing, blogging! i used to "dream" about this kind of life but it's really not that fun unless i get to talk to someone on ym! haha

back to reality

i had 3 days full of fun-lack of sleep-sick of sleeping-bored on the bus-sudoku!

the first day wasn't that a big deal for me because we've been there 2 years ago..haha nothing changed still the same..so it was boring for me, proof from multiply! haha

second day: i woke up around 330am took a bath while my parents are sleeping! haha because i don't want to cram..it was too early for me to talk and look around so i went back to sleep during the long bus ride..going to san francisco!

i loved the weather but since i have this thing with my something veins on my legs so i had some reaction with extreme cold!

i enjoyed the boat ride around the bay area, we were under the Golden Gate then around Alcatraz. it was freezing cold at the deck of the boat! haha my knees were literally shaking and non stop shivering because of the wind, but when the boat would stop for a while it wasn't really that cold. i was loving the sun at that moment/day, i don't care even if i get burned i just need heat! haha forgot to bring my bonnet so i had to use mama's golf hat, it was too thin for that kind of wind.

then before leaving Pier39, we looked for a clam chowder store just around the area, we didn't have enough time to eat at the pier. just like what kuya earnest told me, never leave Pier39 without tasting their clam chowder..haha so we did, my tongue got burned but it was worth it! haha

we went to this museum, i was expecting a gallery of pictures or statues but it was a different version..it was huge and very detailed! i'm not that into greek eras so i wasn't that interested on the history.

then we we're dropped at Crowne Plaza Hotel, with a heated pool, but we're going to meet our relatives so no time for swimming! haha

our relatives left the Philippines when i was 5 years old, so they had no idea what i looked like..haha after seeing me, they realized they've been far away too long! haha we ate at this chinese restaurant around 11pm, had chitchats and of course pictures! had dessert at their unit then traveled all the way to the other side of san francisco! haha so we arrived at our hotel around 2am then i woke up 415am! haha

third day: first one to get up and prepare..we left the hotel around 630am went back to Lombard where the famous zigzag road is designed. walked 4 blocks on a 30 degrees street..haha when we reached the 3rd block it was worth it! haha FYI: the reason why they had to do the zigzag thing,it was too steep for cars to pass by accident rates were high. so they had to revise the street to slow down the cars and lessen accidents. i liked the flowers, so lovely in the morning! haha

then went to chinatown, largest chinatown in the country or in the state, forgot what the tour guide mentioned. then we went inside hilton hotel to use their restrooms! haha

then back to a 6hour bus ride with 2 stop overs..

then back to reality..no more sightseeing and boat rides and of course bus rides! haha

i left my heart in san francisco and in the bus! hahaha

finally i'm going somewhere not around el monte! hahaha

i'll be out for 3 days! yey! hahaha

last night i was looking for an option in diaryland how to remove or delete my blog..well haven't found the answer yet but luckly! i found the answer on how to retrieve my old entries! yey!!!

but it was a 2 day "project"..haha my entries from 2005 upto 2007 copy-paste them one by one! goodluck! haha i think after saving it on ms word its about 100 pages..hahaha

so now, my only problem is how to delete my diaryland..hahaha

i'll sure miss diaryland..whahhahaha
